Meet Carol
HAC Member Since 2003
My name is Carol and I joined the Health and Athletic Center when it opened last February at Parker Square . I Joined because my 25th wedding anniversary is coming up and I wanted be fit into my dress. Step by step, I am moving closer to my goals. I started by walking on the upstairs track for 45 minutes (not a
second longer) for 4-5 days per week. I have progressed to the treadmill and bike. Now, I meet with a trainer to add weights to my exercise program.
As I am losing weight, my body is being toned by combining the weight and the cardio. I have changed my mindset from “Oh no, I don’t want to exercise to I must do something everyday.” Before doing anything after work, my first thought is to get ready and go to the gym. I made a commitment to put my health first. I am almost half way there in my quest to fit into my wedding dress for my 25th anniversary.
I have until next year to achieve my goal. HAC staff asked me if I had any advice. My answer would be to just start exercising! The Health and
Athletic Center makes it easy for you to work out no matter what level of health you are in!
