Success Stories at HAC
"Our goal is to provide our members with the opportunity to exercise in a friendly, comfortable environment, with trained professionals, in an effort to promote physical and emotional well-being." Over the years we have seen some dramatic changes in our member's physical conditioning. To the right you will see how some of our members achieved extraordinary results.
Meet Donna
“At the beginning of the year, I made a new Year’s resolution to get in shape and lose 50 pounds. The Health and Athletic Center at Parker Square has been a catalyst for me to begin my life style change. I started working out, changed my diet, and my whole attitude changed. More importantly, this has been a joint effort by my wife and I , who has benefited more than I have.”
We are so proud of Gerald and his wife. When you work out with a partner or live with someone who supports your fitness goals, you will be more successful.

Donna is just one of many satisfied clients from HAC personal trainers. Donna’s husband joined HAC as a single member and shared with his membership counselor that his wife would never join a health club. But on June of 2002, Donna went on a cruise with her husband to Honduras. Due to Donna’s weight (264 lbs at 5’1) and poor physical condition, Donna had a difficult time keeping up. During a tourist outing, an eighty-five year old fellow passenger offered to help Donna.
“I joined HAC the day after returning from my cruise and was determined by the time we took our next cruise, I would not need help from someone old enough to be my mother! We just returned from our cruise June of 2003 which was a lot more fun now that I am 90 lbs lighter and feel 25 years younger.”
How did Donna do it? Because of the weight, high blood pressure and diabetes Donna started slow with light water exercise classes. After about 3 months Donna was able to start working with a trainer, Clarissa Pritchett. “Not only has she been very important in helping me achieve my fitness goals, Clarissa has become a good friend who inspires me to keep going and even makes exercise fun (sometimes Ha! Ha!). Since getting in shape, I no longer have to take my 2 medicines for high blood pressure and high cholesterol, my energy level is high and I am able to do things that I had forgotten I enjoyed.”
