Meet Joe
HAC Member Since December 2003
When Joe joined HAC his goals were to reduce overall bodyfat, bench press 300lbs., and reduce waist line to 32 inches. How did Joe meet his goals? First, Joe works out first thing in the morning.
“Joes says NO EXCUSES! I just show up!”
Joe does weight training every day rotating different muscle groups so that he does not work the same muscle group every day. He does twenty minutes of intense cardio work (treadmill or cycle) followed by an intense abdominal work out.
“The key is balance. By this, I mean resistance training, cardio, stretching and nutritionally I have carbohydrates, protein, fats and water, water, water!”
Joe reminds us that what you do after you leave the gym is equally important. “You may not recall what you ate three days ago, but your body does. Make every meal count. When you work out at HAC and pay attention to your diet amazing things will not only happen to your physique, but to your life as well.”
I used the Health & Athletic Center Results Day Program as a guide for progress as well as a way to hold myself accountable. I choose the Health & Athletic Center because it is very comfortable non-intimidating atmosphere and the new location is truly awesome!
