Success Stories at HAC
"Our goal is to provide our members with the opportunity to exercise in a friendly, comfortable environment, with trained professionals, in an effort to promote physical and emotional well-being." Over the years we have seen some dramatic changes in our member's physical conditioning. To the right you will see how some of our members achieved extraordinary results.
Meet Marcy
HAC Member Since April 2003
Our “Own” Mrs. Flower Mound is a member at the Health & Athletic Center and represented our little town well in the Mrs. Texas competition. Although she did not win the title, she has much to be proud of.
“Even though I did not win the title, the ladies all voted me Mrs. Congeniality! This, to me, is the best award I could get, aside from the main title. I was just myself, told jokes, was there to listen, and tried to be a friend. It means the world to me!”
While Marcy felt OK about her weight when she joined HAC, she tell us she was not in great shape. Marcy gained some weight
because of stress and not eating right. Once she started working out 4-5 times per week, Marcy went from a size 8 to a size 4. Now, she is in great shape. Even though the competition is over, she says she will continue her work outs, not just to look good, but to feel good.
“I would encourage any of you to step outside of your comfort zone and LIVE, try something new to you, maybe something you’ve always wanted to do but for some reason you thought you couldn’t. If you think you can’t, ask yourself why. Then do it anyway, you deserve to do something for yourself that gives you a sense of accomplishment and teaches you something at the same time.”
“I was in the best shape since being an athlete during my High School years. I was comfortable enough to wear a two-piece bathing suit and walk in front of the judges with confidence.”
